Dipentene
Dipentene is a light yellow color liquid terpene. It is a mixture of limonene and other terpenes (d- and l- isomers). This mixture has a light lemon like odor mixed with turpentine and spicy notes. This mixture is a powerful solvent and is used as in intermediate for producing terpene resins and other chemicals.
Dipentene is insoluble in water, but soluble in alcohol and oil-based solvents. Dipentene is a lower cost alternative to high purity D-Limonene.
